About Me
Entertaining Young Children

Although it might seem simple to keep kids happy and entertained, the process is a lot more difficult than most people realize. I started thinking more seriously about going through and entertaining the kids in my house, and it occurred to me that we could do better. I began carefully considering all of the different aspects of entertainment, and I was really surprised with how many options were out there. I wanted to start a new website that looked at entertainment from a parenting perspective. Check out these posts to find out how you can keep your kids happy without compromising their intelligence.

3 Tricks to a Great First Disney Vacation

Rhonda Gardner

Going on a Disney vacation can be a dream come true for many adults and children. Disney is an important cultural touchstone and has been for decades. Almost every person can think of a Disney movie that has touched and impacted their life. That is why when you go on a Disney vacation, you want to make sure that you have a great experience.

Stay on the Property

First, you should stay on the Disney property for your first Disney vacation. Yes, it may be less expensive to stay somewhere near Disney instead of at a Disney hotel. However, when you go to Disney for the first time, you want to make sure that you get the entire experience. Part of the entire experience is staying at a Disney-owned location.

When you stay at a Disney-owned location, your entire trip is Disney themed, not just your time in the park. The hotel will have its own Disney charm to add to your vacation.

In addition, Disney hotels can help you coordinate and plan your Disney vacation. As this is your first Disney vacation, staying at a hotel can help enhance your experience. They can make sure that you get on the right shuttles to the park, help you plan when to hit up different events, and make sure that you are able to get into the restaurants that you want to go to.

Make Your Reservations in Advance

Second, although you don't have to plan out every detail of your trip in advance, you are going to want to plan out the most important details. For example, if there is a ride or restaurant that you really want to try out, make sure to get in line early or make those reservations in advance. Make reservations for the things that you don't want to miss out on and that you feel like your Disney vacation would be incomplete without. This will help you know what to prioritize during your Disney vacation.

Plan on Down Time

Like any vacation, your trip to Disney should not be all about the go, go, go. Be sure to give yourself some downtime to relax, reflect, and really enjoy your trip. If you are staying at a Disney property, plan to have dinner at the hotel. Disney hotels have great dinner services, and you will not have to leave your hotel for the evening. Spend some time by the pool, hanging out, relaxing, and having fun. Be sure to include some downtime on your trip.
