Entertaining Young Children

Although it might seem simple to keep kids happy and entertained, the process is a lot more difficult than most people realize. I started thinking more seriously about going through and entertaining the kids in my house, and it occurred to me that we could do better. I began carefully considering all of the different aspects of entertainment, and I was really surprised with how many options were out there. I wanted to start a new website that looked at entertainment from a parenting perspective. Check out these posts to find out how you can keep your kids happy without compromising their intelligence.

4 Tips For Dressing For A Foam Party

Rhonda Gardner

If you and your friends want to hit up a foam party at a club, you want to make sure that you are dressed in a manner that will allow you to have fun and stay safe at the same time.

1. Wear Shoes with Lots of Tractions

The night you decide to attend a foam party is not the night to bust out the funky summer shoes that you purchased. Foam parties are fun but they can be really slippery. If you want to keep your balance and stay on your feet, you need to wear shoes that will support you.

Wears shoes that have a solid rubber sole. With a solid rubber sole, you will have an easier time keeping your traction and ensuring that you don't slip during the party. Flat shoes or tennis shoes with a rubber sole are both good options for a foam party. They may not look the most attractive, but they will protect you from ending your night early from a nasty fall.

2. Keep the Make-Up to a Minimum

Foam parties can be really wet, so keep the makeup to a minimum. Just like you wouldn't put on a bunch of make-up to go jumping off rocks and swimming in the river, you shouldn't put on a lot of make-up before going to a foam party. Any make that you do put on is more than likely going to run and potentially get in your eyes.

If you can't say no to a little make-up, wear some waterproof makeup that will hopefully make it through the night.

3. Keep Your Hair Back

If you have long hair, this is a good time to put your hair back. That way, you will not have wet, stringy hair falling down on your face. Instead, put your hair back in a ponytail, braids, or a bun to keep your hair under control and safe from tangles during the foam party.

4. Wear Lightweight Clothing

You are going to get wet, so wear lightweight clothing. For women, putting a bathing suit on under your clothing may be a good option to ensure that you have the support and protection that you need. For women or men, wearing board shorts or swimming trunks is a good option, as the material is designed to stay flexible and comfortable even when wet. Wear clothing that you don't mind just getting wet, but also ruined. Keep your clothing lightweight so that way you are not bogged down with heavy, wet clothing later on.

For your next foam party, make sure that you have rubber sole shoes that will give you the traction you need to stay upright at the party. Stay away from excessive make-up and if you have long hair, pin it back. Stick to lightweight and water-ready clothing so you can move around freely, have fun, and not have to worry about ruining a really nice outfit.
